Even though the future for the bed & breakfast industry as a whole looks good, this doesn't mean every one of them is going to survive. You need to operate your business professionally but with personal touches from the very start.

You will have to implement various marketing strategies to get the word out about your business. People have to know it exists in order to decide to give it a try. Work hard to expand the market you are reaching so that your bed & breakfast will be booked instead of empty.

If you treat all who walk into your door with exceptional service they will be repeat customers and well as recommend your bed & breakfast to others. The hospitality that is part of this business really stands out when it is done well. It is one of the main reasons why people prefer to stay at a bed & breakfast than at a hotel.
