New Wave of Swing Reinvents Timeless Music
The new rise of Swing has exploded into the mainstream. Big Band music is as popular with today's 20 and 30 year olds as ever. Perhaps as a reaction to today's disposable Pop music and transitory yet ubiquitous fame, a new generation is reaching for cultural substance and heritage. A few years ago, Rock & Roll's "Grunge" era stormed the world with its thrashing guitars and flannel covered angst.
The Printed Song Goes Digital
Anyone who's been a working or hobbyist musician for more than a second has had to throw together music for a last-minute audition or a gig. It's never fun trying to find the music you need... in the key you need it... and the tempo you need it in. I often hear about great opportunities a day or two before the gig, with little time to prepare.
Music Review: Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime 2
In 7 days, Operation Mindcrime 2, the album many diehard Queensryche fans have waited nearly 20 years to hear will hit the record store shelves. Please let me be the first person to tell you that you are far better off downloading the two or three high points of this album than spending your hard earned money at some Megastore buying this feeble attempt at recapturing lost glory.
The Difference in Karaoke Music Formats
The current market for karaoke music is in three different formats: CDG, DVD and VCD. Each format is distinctly different in terms of quality, background videos, and music selection. CDG, or otherwise known as CD+G or CD+Graphics, is in my opinion the better format for karaoke music. You have a larger selection of music to choose from and you also have better manufacturers producing quality content.
Be In Tune With Guitar Lesson Options
If learning how to play a guitar like a professional is the aim, lessons will absolutely be in order. Getting started will involve not only an investment of money, but also time. The only way to truly become an axe grinding guitar player is to learn the instrument inside out and backwards. There are a number of locations where free, basic guitar lessons can be found.
History of Rock Keeps Rolling On
Ever since Little Richard, Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry began crooning tunes with a different sound, the history of rock music has been marching forward. Different than anything that had come before it, rock mixed racy lyrics with loud, but soulful music to create something so distinct it earned its own moniker.
The exceptionally talented Pop group 112 have released their CD entitled 112 Part III. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe 112 fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of 112 Part III their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.
I wish it weren't the case but, it's not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with 112 Part III. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
112 is one of those groups that have the ability to just bowl you over with their collective talent. The kind of musicians it's really a treat to be able to listen to.
Overall 112 Part III is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Pop fan. Really spectacular from beginning to end.
While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 4 - Peaches and Cream, track 7 - All I Want Is You, and track 16 - Still In Love
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 2 - Dance With Me. Wow!

Unwind And Relax After A Busy Day With Soothing Music
All of us like listening to music and each one of us has an individualistic preferences. We have at times listened to the ‘Go-Gos’ in a car or sang the ‘Melody; ourselves at our graduation. We may have listened to ‘Ode to Joy’ at a wedding and heard Bruce Springsteen or Madonna while in college.
